iT Director

IT Director As IT Director the challenge will be to develop our current performing IT platform to support the market as it moves towards digital transformation. To perform this, you will have to guide and motivate a team of 40 IT people. Your mission: Board member: • As a member of the Executive Committee reporting to the CEO of speos Belgium, you will hold a strategic position at the heart of our company while maintaining a pragmatic dialogue focused on technical expertise. • Even more important is that you will contribute to the strategic reflection on the vision and culture of our organization and that you will help to guard our values in the company. • Our speos culture is unique within a large structure such as the bpost group and together we ensure that we maintain our individuality while respecting the guidelines that are common within the group.

Main tasks:
• Developing the IT architecture in line with the company’s strategy to ensure consistency of developments
• Choosing the right IT tools to bring them into line with developments
• Manage relations with strategic IT suppliers to optimize investments and monitor maintenance
• Propose and justify investment requirements in technologies that are as innovative and appropriate as possible, to maintain the company’s technological know-how
• Acting as a technical sales representative where necessary to respond appropriately to customer requests and needs.
• To draw up annual budgets for his/her department and monitor them on a quarterly basis to guarantee the company’s profitability.
• Ensure that the company’s values are respected so that all employees live the company with the same rules of behavior
• Continuous Improvement: provide a qualitative reporting on IT related topics. In cooperation with the executive committee, see where efficiency improvements can be implemented.
• Developing the IT architecture in line with the company’s strategy to ensure consistency of developments

• Chooses the training needs of his staff and himself to maintain technological know-how
• Propose and justify investment requirements in technologies that are as innovative and appropriate as possible, to maintain the company’s technological know-how
• Acting as a technical sales representative where necessary to respond appropriately to customer requests and needs.
• To put in place procedures for reporting all the information required for invoicing customer developments to optimize the company’s profitability.
• To draw up annual budgets for his/her department and monitor them on a quarterly basis to guarantee the company’s profitability. Justify any discrepancies and take corrective action where necessary.
